Obstacles in Women Education

The traditional and conservative thinking of people finds women education unessential. People do not feel necessary to play attention towards girls education .Household responsibilities on girls ,early marriage ,more dowry on more education are such factors that depreciate the parents to educate their girl child .The conservative thinking of people from backward classes ,schedule caste and tribe as well as minority class that persists even today acts as a major taboo in way of women education in respective classes .Because of the defective and inferior level of education most of the women are unable to aware of their health and as a result do not have knowledge about the available facilities related to their welfare. All though there is gender inequality in every level of education ,but the rise in literacy and educational level of women can be still appreciated (Bahir ,I .B).

Judicial aspects of Women Education

Article 45 of our constitution announces and compulsory education as a directive principle of state with the objective to make primary education universal. Women are procured with the constitutional rights but they to implemented  in behavioral form by removing certain obstacles coming in their way .There is need of a sincere attempt to implement the 93rd   amendment of constitution regarding compulsory education to fulfill the objective of compulsory and free primary education for all children of 6 years of age. In fact, women illiteracy is the main boon in popularizing education. If the women literacy rate will be maximum in the country ,then the overall literacy rate will increase comparatively .The compulsory education programme should be strictly implemented in the country. With guideline of Article 15(3),parliament has passed National commission for women bill on 1990. Article 42 of Indian constitution provides maternity help for women. According to this Article, state have to make provision for maternity benefits to assure a lawful and humanitarian  conditions. To implement this policy, Parliament has passed “Maternity benefit Act. In 1961.

This Act has provision to assume benefits under conditions such as maternal mortality during delivery ,bones for treatment, leave in case of abortion ,leave with wages in case of vasectomy, delivery before time or abortion etc. Article 43 has provision of maintainance wages for workers .obviously, it includes  also the women .following it Minimum wage Act was passed in 1948 .This Act has the provision to decide the minimum wage rate .According to it ,the employer it bound to give this minimum level of wage rate ,which has been decided irrespective of economic ability.Article 39(d) of constitutional has provision of giving equal pay for equal work to both males and females .With its guide line Equal Remuneration Act was passed in 1076.In this chain of constitutional provisions,73rd amendment of constitution done on 1992 reserves seats for women in Panchayats  and Municipal corporation .Article 51(A) of constitution which is related to fundamental duties ,levis a duty on every citizen that, they should leave such customs and traditions which are against women esteem. Women empowerment has become a challenge these days. (Rao,P.)

Benefits of Women Education  in women empowerment

Only presence of education is not enough to face the challenges of this modern and competitive world ,but there is need of a quality and specialized education level. Education is recognized as such an instrument .With which we are able to achieve the goals of social change and development .Now the foces of women programmes deviates from women welfare to women empowerment .When women are empowered ,surely they will able for their own welfare and not depends on others. An educated man can educate a person ,while a complete family is educated with education of a  woman .Because an educated woman has a major role in educating her family .Educated women are associated with productivity, income and economic development as well as in a healthy and well  fe stered population .By being aware educated women can sustain the social duties efficiently. ( Singh ,G.)

Management of Women Education

1.There should be availability of basic necessities and educational equipment in government schools of rural areas, which may rise interest among girls towards education.

2.The geographical distance should be reduce between school and home .Also there should be school in every village so that girls may be able to receive education near their residence.

3. The education should make effective by appointing eligible teacher in school. There should not be additional works for teachers except teaching and they should be trained persistently.

4.In distance education there is necessary to adopt certain methods to incorporate knowledge ,skill and feelings according to the need and facilities of students distributed in various geographical areas and from various educational background.

5.With distance education women can be educated in their home by manufacturing and producing high qualities of learning material and wing appropriate technology in communication.

6.By constituting wom`en committee in villages for wide spread of women education and hand overing them the duties of educating girls also will helpful to give a move to women education. (Singh, N.P)

CONCLUSION:

According to economic survey 2014 -15 the objectives of a new programme for safety and education of girls ‘Save the daughter “Teach the daughter ‘is to spread awareness and to change the mentality of the society. This may give solution to girls education and other such problem.
